A short HeyArt course is one that includes from 1 hour up to 5 hours of video content and/or from 2 000 words up to 8 000 words of text content in it. So, it’s all up to you. For example, you can record a number of lengthy videos with step-by-step descriptions and guidance “How to paint a portrait?”, or you can just present “The idea of painting” – why the painting is important, the materials for painting, the frames that the paintings are being installed in, types of paint brushes and a number of other tiny elements that are involved around the painting. This second topic could be a perfect short course. We encourage you to start first with a short course, so you find the best way to present your ideas and your favorite art.

How to present the course effectively?
Well, don’t worry! The way to present it will be via selecting from a course template.
We will soon be uploading our HeyArt course templates, and you need to be using them to publish your content on our platform. And something important to share that will be shaping your online tutor success – how to attract attention? To attract the attention of the audience you will need to use very confident body language, also confident facial expressions. This is because the senior citizens will need your facial expression and your body language to be in line with what you present and how you tutor them to paint, graph, use the wood crafting tools, and whatever you present. The way you regularly make art, and the way you do your best live presentation about your art is the way you need to make the video.
How to look professional?
We would advise you to be dressed and look equipped, as you would most confidently do your job in the arts you practice. What materials to use?
You better use the same materials you regularly use, and present in a very simple way the stages of your art, e.g., how you arrange your desk with the wood crafting tooling, with the wood material that you’ll be using.
You will be working on all these kinds of tiny and impactful things that you’ll need to describe in a simple way. Also, to perform your art and in parallel describe throughout the video and the course articles stuff.

HeyArt courses provide our tutors with a link to a Video staging space where the tutor needs to upload their videos in order for HeyArt to host them on a dedicated video hosting service. After we host the videos, we send to the tutor the links to embed into their online courses.
